How to be a Volunteer
If you would like to volunteer for any of the following please e-mail Alan Siebenthaler at asieben@insightbb.com or call him at (859) 533-0849.
- Placing signs/marking the route
- Setting up coolers with water
- Parking assistance and vehicle traffic direction
- Registration and body marking
- Boat patrol/ferry
- Assistance to swimmers exiting the water at boat ramp
- Water station at transition area
- Directions on the bike and run courses
- Traffic control/direction at intersections
- Water stations for runners
- Tear down and clean up at the conclusion of the event
If you're a volunteer
We will have a pre-event volunteer meeting at 7 p.m. on Friday, August 7th to review your reponsibilities, get your shirt, complete Volunteer waiver forms, and answer any questions you may have.
It takes a little time to get all the volunteers into position on the course, so please arrive about 30 minutes before your assigned time. Check in with Alan or Jennifer Siebenthaler on race morning (in the transition area) if you have any questions or concerns.
On race day, you can call my mobile phone (859-533-0849) to report any problems.
The volunteers in particular may want to bring a comfortable chair, water and a hat.
