The Lame Duck Try-Athlon

A USAT-sanctioned challenging sprint triathlon in the hills of the Mallard Point 
neighborhood north of Georgetown, KY. This year's event is part of the USAT Mid East Region MERCRS, so plan to take part and earn points for your local triathlon club.

0.54 mile lake swim
9.1 mile bike
2.6 mile run

We will once again have chip timing for accurate timing of each discipline of the triathlon. Individual competitors and teams will receive a chip at the race registration location the morning of the triathlon. Please be sure your chip is securely fastened to your ankle because you will be charged for lost chips.
 

Cash Prizes for top 3 individual males and females, and top 3 teams!!!

Special Prizes:

Prizes for individuals with the fastest swim, bike and run splits (top 3 male, top 3 female and all relay participants are excluded from this, and only one prize per person)

INDIVIDUAL PRICING FOR 2009 

$55 USAT Individual participants/$65 Non-USAT participants 

TEAM PRICING FOR 2009:

$40 Per USAT Individual Team member/$50 Per Non-USAT Individual Team member

Price goes up $10 two weeks prior to the event. 
  • Registrations received within 3 weeks of the event will not guarantee a T-shirt.
  • Registration limited to 200 participants.
  • Registrations are nonrefundable and nontransferable.
  • Race day registration permitted if space is available.
  • Packet pickup will be held from 5:30-7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 7th, in the Mallard Point neighborhood park, and then next to the transition area from 6:30-7:45 a.m. on race day.

Proceeds from the race benefit Step by Step, http://www.sbslex.org  a non-profit organization that works to give lost and hurting young women with children, the chance to become successful parents, students and employees.

PLEASE NOTE: 17 and under parent must sign a USAT consent form and waiver at the registration area prior to distribution of the participant's race packet and timing chip.
